Hi there! I’m Meredith Rowley, a Missouri girl – born and raised – now living in upstate New York. My family and I recently relocated to Rochester from Kansas City, where we spent the last 10 years of our lives. This move was not a planned or expected one, but it’s been a good change for us and we are enjoying everything that Rochester has to offer – even the snow!
I married my high school sweetheart, Eric, and together we have five adorable children – Jackson, Wyatt, Logan, Cohen, and Piper.
Though I have a degree in nursing, I’ve always had a passion for photography. Documenting the favorite people and moments in my life has always been important to me, and once my husband and I got married and started our family, that desire to preserve all of the little details of our life only grew. My children are my everything – my inspiration, my muses, my models, my happiness. They are the reason my art exists and they are the ones who keep me going.
I’ve been a hobbyist photographer for many years, and I have been professionally photographing smiling faces since 2008. I love getting to know my clients and am always honored to photograph and document their growing families and changing lives.
My second passion, right up next to photography – is labor & delivery. I am currently working part-time in L&D at a local hospital here in Rochester, have worked in OB ever since graduating nursing school back in 2004, and absolutely love the miracle of birth. It is always an honor to be a part of that magical moment in a woman’s life, especially when I am able to capture with my camera those details in those amazing moments of labor and delivery. Birth photography encompasses both of my passions in life and is one of my absolute favorite stories to tell through my lens.
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me trying out just about anything – I’m not the type of person who takes it easy very easily, and you’ll usually find me keeping busy with something or another. I’m a do-er and I love to create and build – from baking cakes to making furniture!
That’s a little bit about me! I look forward to getting to know you and your family, and documenting your life – one click at a time!
